2023 Life Member Event
The first ever Association-run Life Member Event was held at Canberra Southern Cross Club Tuggeranong to celebrate and acknowledge our AFLCUA Life Members - the first of many as we look to make this an annual event to ensure we remain connected with our history.
Schnitzels and Parmigianas were shared - as well as plenty of banter - as we acknowledged those Life Members in attendance with a Life Membership Certificate and a specially minted Life Member badge.
It was great to have Life Members spanning 50 years from 1972 all the way through to 2022.
AFLCUA Vice President Graeme Loaney emceed the event, with support from commitee members Rhys Daddow, Cara Cook, and Flynn Kelly, as we acknowledged our Life Members from different eras.
In a solemn moment we took the time to remember those 13 Life Members who are no longer with us.
29 Life Members presented with certificates and badges acknowledging their achievement of Life Membership to the applause of their colleagues.
